Overview
This workshop supports teachers with curriculum design and explores the nature of coherence within the curriculum. During this workshop, you will consider the balance between disciplinary and transdisciplinary learning and the nature of the subject areas within the PYP. You will also discover how to use the subject areas to frame the elements of the PYP and build transdisciplinary thinking.
You will explore:
• How PYP subject areas contribute to a coherent
curriculum.
• How transdisciplinary and disciplinary learning support one another.
• The nature of the subjects in relation to the other elements of the PYP.

Current PYP educators, Coordinators and school leaders who wish to reflect on the transdisciplinary nature of their units of inquiry and gain an understandnig of the new subject guidance.
