• Explore and align your practices with the IB standards and practices.

• Refine and continue to develop a collaborative and collegial approach to the structures and principles of your subject group aims and objectives.

• Deepen your understanding and capabilities for delivering your content through concepts, context, and approaches to learning skills.

• Evaluate, strengthen, and design new tasks that will support the implementation of your subject group expectations.

• Reflect upon the relevance, innovation, and rigour of the student-centred environments that you have created.

• Discover and create opportunities to make your content more accessible to a broader range of students.

Recommended for

Experienced Middle Years Programme subject teachers. Delegates will benefit from having completed a Category 1 workshop.

Both facilities offer purpose-built spaces that combine accommodation and meeting space, providing a central hub of activity during your workshop. Located at the heart of the University of Warwick’s campus, you’ll enjoy access to one of the UK’s leading universities. The University is conveniently located near Birmingham and Coventry with easy accessibility via air, rail and road links.

Is this Category correct for me?

Category 2 workshops focus on IB programme delivery. They emphasise assessment, teaching and learning methodologies and exploring best practice in the classroom. They are open to experienced IB educators who have completed Category 1 training and currently teach in an IB programme.
